SERMA Group wins the ESG award for its governance and participatory ownership

SERMA Group is proud to have won the ESG award at the 2nd edition of the CFNEWS Grand Prix Sud-Ouest, held at INSEEC Bordeaux on May 16th. This prestigious distinction highlights SERMA’s commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, as well as the significant participation of its employees in its capital.

Bringing together nearly 300 professionals from the region, CFNEWS and its partners, members of the jury, honored 8 companies that made a significant impact in 2023.

The ceremony highlighted SERMA Group, recognized for its unique approach to governance and value-sharing, championed by its President, Philippe Berlié.

Indeed, nearly 500 SERMA Group employees now hold 60% of the company’s capital.

This configuration, rare in the French economic landscape, is a fundamental aspect of the Group’s success. This participative model not only reflects the trust and commitment of employees in the Group’s vision and values but also their desire to actively contribute to its growth and success.

The remaining 40% of the capital is held by investor partners who have supported SERMA Group’s vision and growth for several years: Ardian Expansion, Chequers Capital, and Bpifrance.

Since its creation in 1991, SERMA GROUP has continuously grown and diversified its expertise. Today, the group operates in various fields such as electronics, microelectronics, materials, engineering, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and energy. With an annual growth rate of 10% and a turnover of 174 million euros, SERMA GROUP aims for 200 million euros this year.

In 2023, SERMA completed three external growth operations, including its first acquisition in the United States by taking over Microtech Laboratories, based in Texas.

“One of the core values of SERMA Group has always been to place people at the heart of our activities. We have built a group with passionate and committed employees, and I am extremely proud of our team and everything we have accomplished together. I extend my heartfelt thanks to CF NEWS for this honor, as well as to all the employees of SERMA Group and the partners who have helped make this vision a reality.” expresses Philippe Berlié, President of SERMA Group.
